A light bulb is lit up floating above the ground. Suddenly it starts falling down until it gently bounces on top of a pile of lit light bulbs. The video is looped as an attempt to give the impression that bulb after bulb is falling onto the pile. This piece was made for a Swedish exhibition named Artlab Hotel (The Art Hotel Laboratorium). According to Eva Cronquist the curator, artists were continuously walking in and out of the gallery, leaving an idea behind. She related this to how people were checking in and out of a hotel located next to the gallery, but leaving a trace of their presence behind. I thought about the gallery space in relation to this concept and concluded that the gallery must have an archive of ideas - an ever increasing pile which is continuously added to.
